Without Fathers (under revision)

Boys without fathers will wait
impatiently for their mother's blood
to spill and fill the cup
of an undeserving king.

Boys without fathers will wait
to be taught, to be strong. But boys
of the pack will hunt and kill
and feed their young.

Daughters without fathers will be
swallowed by the young and vile;
vultures swarm the skies,
to pick the bones from innocence.

Daughters without fathers will be
torn at the seams by seamless villains, but
daughters with their fathers
will be surrounded in comfort, amongst
a ring of dead foul.
